These three snapshots shows that I am able to extrude a shape to form the back of the gun. I wanted to create a unique shape and tried to make it to scale as accurate as possible.

I started to create the underneath part of the gun where the grip and trigger would be so it can be like a normal AR gun.

Once I made the underneath I went to make the front of the gun where 'lasers' would shoot out of these 4 holes.

I started to add more detail on the sides so it won't be a plain, boring gun. These will be the lights, power and magazine (ammo) of the gun.

Once I was happy with the details on the gun I started to add colour to the gun so it can have PAZZAZ to its look.

This snapshot here shows me adding a camera to my model workspace so I can get a nice aligned, stilled image for my gun when it comes to editing in Premiere Pro.

This snapshot is me using the camera to see if it looks good and is aligned well in the centre on the screen.

When I was happy with what I made I went to start rendering it out of Maya. I simply done this by editing some settings to make sure I get the perfect render of HD 1080 PNGs and that it would be nice and smooth so it can be perfect in Premiere Pro.

This here is me testing to see if it had rendered properly and work in Premiere Pro and that I could colour key the pink away from the 3D Model.

As I'm having trouble animating my 3D model, here's a video of me showing that I manage to make a 3D Model in Maya.
