Using Adobe Premiere
What skills have you learnt in Premiere? Which aspects do you most enjoy?
I have learnt how to key frame each frame and also how to make cool transactions in my video. I enjoy doing the key framing as it's quite creative what you can produce.
What do you want to learn more about? What skills do you want to develop next?
I want to learn on how to add cool effects like adding a subscribe GUI thing that pops up on the screen etc. The next skill I want to develop next is to add effect onto my projects from After Effects.
Research into job roles within the VFX and Animation industries
What have you learnt about job roles within the VFX and Animation industries?
I have learnt that there are multiple jobs out there that all do different things within the industry.
In what ways were the web chats with Jeff Fastner, Taz Tron Delix and Jelena Stojanovic particularly useful?
They are useful as we can see from their POV on what it's like to be in the industry and how much hard work is needed. All in total it's nice to see how they got into this industry.
Plan and produce a short information film
What aspects of the film you’ve made are you most pleased with?
I'm pleased with the beginning part where it zooms in as it looks cool and I like doing things with a green screen.
What aspects would you like to improve?
The effects and transitions of the text and images appearing on screen.
Overall
As a result of your research, what are your feelings about pursuing a career in the VFX and Animation industries?
I'm feeling quite anxious but excited as it's an interesting job top go for and be creative but it has a lot of responsibility and concentration required to work.
In what ways have your thoughts changed since finding out more about the industry?
My thoughts have slightly changed as there is responsibility required and I feel I'd be put under pressure and I don't like that.
How will you apply this knowledge to your college work moving forward?
That I should keep my head up, try not to over work and get into a lot of pressure. Also try to start practicing what it feels like under pressure.
